Headteacher's welcome
Dear families
Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely, restful summer and especially welcome new families to Llansantffraid – a school and Nursery setting which we are very proud of. I want to jump immediately to the positives! It has been delightful to welcome children and families back to school where they belong. This is the slow journey to normality. We know that the premises and procedures are different but the caring and happy ethos of our school remains and shines through. Another positive is that we return to weekly newsletters. You will receive a Friday newsletter which tells you what’s happening at our school and latest guidance– please find the time to read it to learn about what’s going on. To reduce paper it will only be shared on Seesaw/email. We however recognise that our Newsletters won’t be quite as ‘exciting’ and full of news or as long as usual as we are so limited in the events, activities and what I would call good practice of collaboration throughout the school.
The pupil voice continues to have high regard with our school committees of School Council, Eco Council, Digital Leaders, Values Committee and Criw Cymraeg alongside Team Captains and Children Ambassadors. Until classroom bubbles can mix, these members will be selected from Years 5 and 6 only who will be seeking ideas from and sharing with the other classes.
The Governing Body and all Staff look forward to working alongside you as families, the Church and community, Friends of the School, volunteers (upon your return) and most importantly the pupils.
Should you ever have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate to contact either me or your class teacher as appropriate to the query. We are proud of our policy of working alongside you for safe, happy, successful children. Our open door policy remains metaphorically in its ethos of discussion and support, but will continue for now via email, Seesaw and phone call.
Kind regards
Mrs Meinir Wyn Morris
